James Flaherty Obituary

James R. Flaherty, 85 of Brooksville, passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2019. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 52 years, Gloria; loving daughters, Angela and her wife Robin Flaherty-Long, Lori Flaherty-Estes and her husband, Phil Estes and Marsha Flaherty; his grandchildren, Erin Lowry, Daniel Willeke and Taylor Willeke. Also surviving is his sister, Barbara Jensen and many other relatives and friends. Jim moved here in 1996 from Eldridge, Iowa but was born in Alexis, Illinois. He was an honorably discharged Army veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed farming, reading, telling stories and spending time with his family; he was very family oriented. Private services will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted care and services to DeMarco Family Funeral Home.
